Visual Studio Kernel Issues

I have been receiving this error message for the last several days upon running the starter notebook:

"Failed to start the Kernel. The kernel died. Error: ... View Jupyter log for further details."

What could be a root cause of this, and how can this be corrected? Am I missing any dependencies, etc in my Python 3.13.2 venv?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
